First Edition Identifiers
Canaveral Press published this book on June 9, 1964. The book states “First Edition” on the copyright page. The dust jacket and 8 interior illustrations are by Reed Crandall. It states “Never before published” on the cover of the dust jacket. Canaveral Press reprinted this book again in 1975 using the same dust jacket, though lacking the words “Never before published”. The 1975 reprint is identical to the first printing except that “1975” is on the title page.
This story was actually written in 1940, prior to “Tarzan and the Foreign Legion”. This book was bound in a few different colors.
