First Edition Identifiers
Burroughs Inc. first published this book on 8/22/1947 and it clearly states “First Edition” on the copyright page. As the photo shows, the book cover is blue and lettered in red. There are 5 illustrations by John Coleman Burroughs (youngest son), who also illustrated the dust jacket. This is the last Tarzan first edition published by Burroughs, Inc.
