First Edition Identifiers
A.C. McClurg & Co. printed “The Outlaw of Torn” two separate times within one month. The first printing was on Feb. 19, 1927 with the second printing in March. Both states are identical in every way other than the second printing states “First Reprinting, March 1927” on the copyright page. There were a total of 6,000 copies between both printings. The book has orange cloth boards with black lettering. J. Allen St. John illustrated the dust jacket and six interior plates.
The book below is of the first state as the copyright page lacks “First Reprinting...”.
