This book was published the first and only time by Burroughs, Inc. on May 1, 1944. Its publication ended almost 4 years of absence of any new ERB book due to Mr. Burroughs’ obligations as a war correspondent in Hawaii. The binding is blue, but not the standard pebbled blue of most other Burroughs, Inc. publications. It is a paler blue with non-textured boards and orange-red lettering. The dust jacket was illustrated by John Coleman Burroughs. There are no interior illustrations. Interestingly this book was never published in a magazine or by Grosset & Dunlap.
