First Edition Identifiers
A.C. McClurg & Co. printed this title twice, the first was on Oct. 30, 1920 and the second printing was in 1921. The second printing has “1921” on the title page, and the book itself is about an 1/8” thicker than the first printing.
Otherwise both editions are the same with olive green covers and black lettering. The dust jacket was illustrated by P. J. Monahan and the 10 interior drawings were by J. Allen St. John. Between the 1st and 2nd printing there was a total of 17,000 copies.
The book below is of the 1st edition as it has “1920” on the title page.
