A.C. McClurg printed this title in 1921 and in 1922 with the date of the printing appearing on the title page. The first edition also has an error on the caption of the illustration facing page 248. In the 1921 edition, the caption uses the name "Ko-tan" whereas the 1922 printing revised it to "Mo-sar", the correct name. A.C. McClurg printed a total of 45,000 copies of the 1st and 2nd edition. Both printings have the same red cover with black lettering. There are 9 interior illustrations by J. Allen St. John.
