A.C. McClurg made four printings of this title for a total of 63,000 copies, the 2nd largest printing of an ERB book by McClurg. The four printings all have "A.C. McClurg" on the spine. The first printing has an orange cover and the second, third, and forth printing all have a dark green cover. The first and second printings have "W.F. Hall Printing Company, Chicago" on the copyright page whereas the 3rd and fourth printing do not. All four printings have "1919" on the title page. The first three printings have 17 illustrations (5 are full page) by J. Allen St. John, but the fourth printing only has 13 illustrations.
