A.C. McClurg published this book on September 30, 1924. and the spine bears their name. The cover is brown and the text is dark brown. There were only 10,000 copies of this first edition printed. There exists a "mixed edition" which has A.C. McClurg on the title page, but Grosset & Dunlap is found on the spine. The mixed edition book has an orange cloth cover. The only illustration is the frontispiece by J. Allen St. John. |
