The Outlaw of Torn - 1st edition

This is the same book on ERBfirst.com, see here. The book is in Very Good condition, The boards are soiled a bit, the corners are dinged. The spine bottom edge cloth is worn off partially. There is also a small 1/4" tear near the "O" in Outlaw. The gold lettering is worn. The binding is slightly cocked. The gutters are fine, there is a price written in pencil on the front end-paper which is also age toned. The pages are overall pretty clean and free of defects though there are some minor soiling to a 1/2 dozen pages or so.

BOOK RATINGS

POOR - binding coming apart, chunks of the cover or spine may be missing, extreme water damage, heavy soiling, missing pages or large open tears.
FAIR - Large tears in boards, heavily sun faded or soiled or stained, binding extremely loose, missing one or more illustrations, lots of labels or writing / scribbling, or combination of all.
GOOD - covers and spine intact except for maybe frayed edges or small cloth tears, a fair amount of soiling or fading to covers / spine, heavy spine lean, loose binding, heavily bumped corners, abnormal amount of writing, scribbles, or labels.
VERY GOOD - possibly loose binding, lesser amount of soiling , bumped corners, frayed ends or stains with lesser amounts of soiling / tears / writing to inner pages.
NEAR FINE - Very minimal defects, possibly small bumps, very light fade, average to strong binding, slight soiling.
FINE - book is almost like new, may have slight old book smell and pages a tad bit tanned, binding should be firm, no soiling or tears.
MINT - which should be like it was just printed, very tight binding with no defects; very few older books should ever be classified as mint.

In between these ratings a "+" can be used to indicate that the condition of the book is slightly better than the closest rating. Rating is subjective and not all defects of each catagory need to be present.
